This is where you can go through the work from the design modules I did in Ballyfermot College and St Kevin's College.
This was a game prop design assignment. We had to come up with a game idea and create a prop that was integral to the game play of said idea. I ended up making a "Zombie Controller". A device that renders Zombies under the complete control of a user once plunged into the back of their neck. The full game idea involves TV and assault courses. We had to create a design Document for the prop, one fully Rendered 3D image of it and an image featuring the prop in game, which could be from anything. Here's the images.
This is the final project web site I designed on the Fetac Level 5 Web Design Course. We were asked to to do it on something we loved and or hoped to actually make in the future. So of course my web site was designed around gaming. I decided to make it like a review and game selling hybrid. To view the web site just download the folder in the link and double click any of the HTML files, though I reckon starting on the index is better.
This was a design assignment in B.C.F.E. and the 1st ever thing I designed in the line of characters. I soldiered on despite my innateness and I guess the outcome was decent enough for a 1st try. We had to design a character for an "Edutainment" game and then Portray said character in four different subjects on the age 9 to 11 school curriculum. So here's all of the drafts and finished characters. I called him Smarty. A play on the slang word for being intelligent and the chocolate sweet.
Finally these are the DVD covers we had to make for our "Edutainment " game. We had to make up four separate game ideas revolving around the subjects chosen in the earlier character assignment and then design the DVD covers for those games. We had to also include a brief plot summary and the usual DVD cover shenanigans.
